For the beginning of crossroads 2018, I stayed with this wonderful family in Seattle where I met this little 4 year old boy named Fulton. He was terrified of sliding down this really long slide in his back yard. So I called his name to slide down, to tell him he doesn’t have to be afraid, to let him know I’d be there to catch him at the bottom and that he CAN do this. It took him a long time, but when he finally worked up the nerve to let go, I caught him at the bottom and shot him up into the air like a rocket! He tried it again, and again, and again, and finally he shouted with utter joy, “THIS IS THE MOST FUN I EVER HAD IN MY WHOY WIFE!” (Whole life is the actual translation). His courage shot up so much once he realized how free he was to make that step of letting go knowing that there was someone there to catch him and lift him in the air to show him how great he really is! There’s a certain beauty to the heart of a boy when he knows how free he truly is-that there is someone always there catch him, to bless him and lift him in the air like he just conquered the highest mountain! This is the joy of life-that God is always there to shoot you in the air like a rocket to show you how great and glorious life truly is when you let go and trust Him to catch you! This is why I walk, this is why I’m pro-life, because there is hope, joy, and love in The life of God. From the peak of the mountain, you can truly begin to see the Glory of God in ALL of His creation!
