A dozen college-age students walking across America to show opposition to abortion are stopping this weekend in Charlotte.
Through an anti-abortion group called Crossroads, the youth are walking some 3,200 miles from Los Angeles to Washington — a three-month journey scheduled to end next week. The group typically has spent weekends resting along the route and sharing their feelings in area churches. While in Charlotte, they will speak at several Roman Catholic churches, including St. Patrick Cathedral at 1621 Dilworth Road East. They also announced plans to pray today outside the Family Reproductive Health Center.
