I see Crossroads as an opportunity to witness for my Catholic Faith and for the sanctity of human life. Given the recent passage of the health care bill, this witness is more important than ever. Further, it is especially important for young people to witness for faith and life, to show that there is hope for positive change in the future, and to touch the hearts of people. Young people can make that change happen. I recognize that walking with Crossroads will require sacrifice, but sacrifice is a necessary part of witness. It is said that many people were converted to the Catholic Faith by fortitude of the early martyrs. I cannot be a martyr by giving my life, but by giving of my time, energy and talents to Crossroads this summer. I hope to touch people’s hearts, and to show them by my activities the truth of the Catholic Faith and the value of human life.
